Lynda teaches GCSE English Language and Creative Writing, and runs Caerphilly Scribes, the resident writing group at Caerphilly library. She has a Bachelor of Arts, an MPhil and a PhD in Creative and Professional Writing. 

Lynda is also a Creative Practitioner on the Lead Creative Schools project. Her short fiction and poetry has been included in magazines such as: Penumbra, Square, First Edition, Mslexia, and in the anthologies Secondary Character, The Dance Is New, Exposure, The Welsh Women’s  National Coalition, and Bugged. She regularly writes reviews and previews for Cardiff’s Buzz Magazine.

Ashes Of A Valleys Childhood is her first poetry collection. Not As Pointless As You Think is her first published collection of short fiction. She is the author of Danny Down The Drainpipe and co-author of The Detention Gang series for younger readers.
